Bezzina Bros.  Ltd. is seeking to recruit a Maintenance Technician. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the chosen candidate will be primarily responsible for the maintenance of our client's plant and equipment to ensure that these function at optimum performance and to follow the maintenance schedules or various equipments such as ventilation fans, pumps and other plant equipment.

Main tasks include:

• Assisting in the upkeep of plant mechanical systems.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment and plant facilities.
• Work hand in hand with the plant engineers and participate in daily briefing meetings.
• Provide emergency / unscheduled repairs of equipment  and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment during machine service.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Oversee mechanical devices while in operation, detect faulty operations and defective material and report those and any unusual situations to the plant engineers.
• Offer assistance with troubleshooting equipment problems.
• Minimise downtime by making sure critical parts are readily available as spares.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager in the daily operations.

Prospective applicants must:

• Have an MCAST technical, mechanical and electrical diploma or equivalent.
• Be a responsible and organised person.
• Be a proactive, flexible and systematic person.
• Have an eye for detail and excellent communication skills.
